How I lost 30 lbs in 3 months!

I cannot believe its almost 2016! It’s that time of year, champagne toasts, fancy sparkly dresses, face sucking sessions at midnight, oh yeah and new year resolutions that 73% of people give up on each year!

I believe the key to a successful new years resolution is gradually making changes in your life, and before you know it you’ll have reached your goal. Change one thing at a time so you don’t feel burdened or make excuses of why you couldn’t keep up with the change in your life.

About two years ago, I lost over 30 lbs in 3 months. I started in January and hit my goal by my birthday in March. Here’s how I did it!

Go Meatless:  Animal products are acidic and have congestive qualities- they will never digest cleanly the way plant foods do and there is no getting around that. As humans, we do not have the enzymes to break down animal products completely – this causes toxins to build up and makes it harder for your body to burn off excess fat. Now, you don’t have to give up meat completely like I did, but start off with meatless Mondays, and gradually eat less and less meat. Here is my challenge for you, give up meat completely for at least 3 months – you will see a tremendous difference in your weight.

Give up Dairy: Dairy is one of the worst things you can put into your body. Have you ever seen a monkey drink lions milk? A human drinking a cow’s milk or eating products from that milk is just unnatural! Similar to breaking down meats, our body does not have the enzymes to break down dairy from animals.  Try cutting out dairy completely for one month. Here’s what changed within the first month after I gave up dairy:

  • Teenie tiny belly – no more bloat
  • Congestion free – no more mucus buildup when I woke up
  • Clear & bright skin – absolutley no bumps, blemishes or pimples
  • Weight loss – weight melted off effortlessly

Smoothies: Every morning I make a glowing green smoothie. Just one cup of this smoothie is equivalent to a week’s worth of veggies! During the first month, I drank this smoothie 2x a day, for breakfast and dinner. This helped flush out all the toxins and gunk I had been storing in my body for years.

Now, lets go back to your new year’s resolution and tweak it a little. Instead of hoping to lose an absurd amount of pounds, lets promise to take care of our bodies and eat in a way that better activates the cells in your body. Eat in a way that allows all the cells in your body to turn on and work the way they were programmed to work. Eat in a way that cleans out the gunk, toxins and watch the fat in your body slip off.

    I’m excited to try this! After cutting off meat and dairy, apart from eating salads and drinking green smoothies, what did your usual diet consist of? This is the part I’m having difficulty with, because I don’t know what to eat. Also, I’m only trying to trim off fat in my belly, my arms and under my chin, does this trim off fat in the chest and butt area too? Because I already have small breasts and a small butt ;(

      Aside from salads and shakes, I have cooked veggies. I’ll make kale or spinach with mushrooms and eat that either in a wrap or with quinoa/brown rice. With eating like this, you’ll lose weight all over, I suggest going to the gym and targeting your workouts like pushups to lift and plump your breasts and squats to give you a fuller booty 🙂 These shakes will def trim your midsection!
